Qigong for
Grounding,
Flow & Balance
Meditative movement for the nervous system. All levels welcome.
Qigong at Embodied Wisdom Institute is a slow, breath-centered practice rooted in Chinese medicine that invites you to move with intention, breathe with depth, and reconnect with your body’s natural rhythms. No experience necessary — just a willingness to arrive.
An ancient practice for the modern nervous system.
Qigong (pronounced "chee-gong") is a centuries-old Chinese practice that combines slow, intentional movement with breath regulation and meditative awareness. The word itself means "cultivating life energy" — and that’s exactly what a consistent practice delivers.
At Embodied Wisdom Institute, our Qigong classes are grounded in somatic awareness and a deep respect for each person’s pace. We emphasize easeful movement, mindful breath, and compassionate attention to what your body is telling you. This is not an athletic class. It is a practice of listening.
- Breath-Centered MovementSlow, intentional sequences coordinated with breath to soothe and support the nervous system.
- Energy Flow & VitalityPractices designed to cultivate and circulate life energy (Qi), building a sense of inner aliveness without depletion.
- Somatic GroundingAwareness practices that reconnect you with your body’s inner landscape, supporting presence and regulation.
- Meditative PresenceA moving meditation that invites stillness within movement — accessible even when seated meditation feels difficult.
What consistent practice can bring.
Qigong is a practice, not a performance. Its benefits tend to deepen over time as the body learns to recognize the signals of regulation, ease, and flow. Here’s what many of our community members report noticing.
Our classes are an inclusive, affirming space for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ communities, and all bodies. You are welcome here, exactly as you are.
